Amid reports that “90-95% effective” Covid-19 vaccines will soon be available, the government is refusing to rule out making it mandatory. Even though a recent YouGov poll revealed 20 per cent did not trust the vaccine Health Secretary Matt Hancock admitted that “public needs to be persuaded that the jab is safe [and] We’re not proposing at this stage making it mandatory.” (1)
In our previous show we highlighted the other side of vaccines that rarely get mainstream media coverage such as the $4 billion payout through the USA’s Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. (2) However, being armed with the knowledge of the effect of vaccines may count for little if they are eventually made mandatory, or if access to employment, social establishments and airlines become conditional on its take up although some legal experts suggest companies going down this road could face “a costly discrimination claim” (assuming the employee has the wherewithal to pursue one). (3). Elsewhere, USA-based websites like Holistology are offering, for those that want it, a $6 Informed Consent Plastic Wallet/Keyring Card and 378 page report “with up-to-date data on safety studies.” The card includes guidance on “How To Legally Decline A Vaccine” such as “do not flatly refuse a vaccine” or say “anti-vax” but ask reasoned questions and ask for safety information to look over at home. (4)
It’s worth pointing out that through the eight months of Covid-19 this year it seems, in spite of the numerous online forums, presentations and conferences, that the Afrikan community has yet to establish an agreed position on pan/plan-demic, the lockdowns or the vaccines. This may be a more valuable development than swelling the coffers of random websites.
Given that many of the startling, if uncoordinated, narratives point towards bleak (if not genocidal) outcomes for Afrikan people in the so-called metropoles (e.g. UK, USA, etc). (5) Indeed, with Afrikans facing such an existential threat the need for organising en masse seems way past due. In recent years the increase in emphasis on repatriation presents the dilemma of whether this organising can really be done here, assuming that our destination is free of the elements of white supremacy (in the form of neo-colonialism). We ask the question:
Covid-19 vaccine pt 2: What’s Our Agenda?
1) Do you think the government will make the vaccine compulsory?
2) Would you take it keep your job or travel abroad?
3) Would a national agenda assist Afrikans in these situations?
4) If the current ‘plandemic’ leads to genocide do we have a future here?
5) If our proposed destination is a neo-colony what difference will it make?
