Due to the effects of the Covid-19 lockdown, ARM is facing acute financial challenges, including an arrears on the mortgage on our property (282 High Rd Leyton). To avoid a repossession order, we need to raise (from the community) at least:

          £15,000 by Mon. 28th June, 2021

This is a direct consequence of the Covid restrictions of the past 18 months, which inhibited our usual fundraising efforts and averted our business plans. Nonetheless, we have persevered with our range of community services, including, among others:

Alkebu-Lan Food Relief (for the elders & needy of our community).

Alkebu-Lan Academy of Excellence (Saturday school – online).

Shumira (Afrikan Traditional Worship – monthly).

Afrika Speaks With Alkebu-Lan (on Galaxy Radio – Mon 7:00-10.00pm).

Alkebu-Lan Family Assoc. (support services and Pupil advocacy).

These programmes, and others, incur significant cost to run, which are borne by our members and supporters.

The impact of Covid-19 has devastated businesses, institutions and livelihoods across this nation, but especially within the Afrikan community. But, we are determined it will not defeat us. With your immediate support we will overcome this present crisis, to continue serving our community in even bigger and better ways.
