Tonight of Afrika Speaks we are honoured to welcome legendary Rasta Freedom Fighter, Poet, Musician, Broadcaster and writer – Mutabaruka as he embarks on a UK tour as part of the African Holistic Health Study Group in collaboration with Return to Your Roots Festival of Words extravaganza. The tour also coincides with the release of his latest book: Mutabaruka – The Verbal Swordsman, where he waxes on issues like his radio shows Cutting Edge and Steppin Razor, the “two-headed Dragon” of Jamaica’s Politics, as well as meditations on Jamaica’s crime situation and society in general as well as offering a forthrigh medidation on Rastafari and Africanness.

Our Special Guests:

Bro. Ldr. Mbandaka: Resident guest who is Spiritual Leader of the Alkebu-Lan Revivalist Movement and an Afrikan-Centred Education Consultant. Bro. Ldr is a veteran activist of almost 40 years standing, a featured columnist in The Whirlwind newspaper and author of Mosiah Daily Affirmations and Education: An African-Centred Approach To Excellence.

Eld. Emmanuel Amevor: is a former Young Pioneer in Kwame Nkrumah’s Ghana and Ex-CEO of the Centerprise Trust Ltd. He is also the founder of Word Power, International Black literature Festival and Book Fair. Eld Emmanuel also worked extensively with Dr Llaila O Afrika.
