Our final show of the year was specially pre-recorded and we look back on the past twelve months of Afrika Speaks, reliving some of the most compelling shows with a wealth of guests that brought overstanding and insight to any subject we covered. These included the celebration of the Triple Centenary of Omowale Malcolm X, Patrice Lumumba and Franz Fanon, the passing of Twilight Bey and Assata Shakur, reclaiming Notting Hill Carnival, the devestation of Hurricane Mellissa, the role of the family in Afrikan Liberation, and the 40th anniversary of the MOVE organisation bombing.
The last remaining Kwanzaa event: Imani (Faith) 1st January 2026, PACM & African Community, 4pm-9pm, 74 Carmoor Road, Chorlton-on-Medlock, M13 0FB. Info: 07884 444 080. Stalls: 07481 146 027. Adm: Free. Donations welcome.

And may the wisdom of the ancestors always walk with us.
May the year’s end meet us laughing and stronger.
May our children honor us by following our example in love and struggle.
And at the end of next year, may we sit again together, in larger numbers, with greater achievement and closer to liberation and a higher level of human life.
