From the political, to the personal; from health & well being to economic empowerment; from educating the next generation to fighting the system – The Afrikan Woman has been in the midsts of it all. Still, it is often said that the role of Afrikan women unheard of, uncelebrated and left in obscurity. Furthermore, it is often suggested that the specific issues facing Afrikan women are overlooked, marginalised and ignored – giving rise to the call for more Black Women voices in every area of people activity. This NOMMO we place present day Black woman activism centre stage; through the eyes of two young Sisters, fast developing a reputation for adressing pertinent issues in the Afrikan World Community with innovation, dedication and professionalism. Come and hear from the mouth of the women making it happen in todays world, as they delve into the motivations and purpose for their work and activism.
