The current turmoil being experienced by the Labour government following the resignation of its deputy prime minister in a tax scandal is another gift to the right-wing reform party, in addition to the abundance of favours bestowed upon it by the UK media in its drive to becoming the next government – as the polls suggest, even while the government tries to lean into their narratives. (1)
We can add to this the recent conviction of Hadush Kebatu, the Ethiopian asylum seeker whose flashpoint case in Essex sparked nationwide anti-immigrant protests. Kebatu was convicted of five counts of sexual assault, attempted sexual assault and harrassment in spite of no DNA evidence and “inconsistent” witness testimonies. It is possible to speculate, without minimising the seriousness of the allegations, that, given the current political climate, he would have been found guilty irrespective of the strength or weakness of the evidence against him. (2)
What gives lie to the protester’s demand to “protect our kids” is the abuse of girls and women that is rife among the associates of the likes of Reform party leader Nigel Farage and far-right rabble rouser “Tommy Robinson” who are lionized as defenders of British values. (3) Moreover, given that “two in five arrested for last summer’s UK riots had been reported for domestic abuse,” the reticence and dismissal of these by far-right leaders shows that “save our kids” is merely a convenient cover for the racist agenda. The Epping crew certainly held their peace when fourteen year-old Afrikan “kid”, Daniel Anjorin was brutally attacked and killed by Spanish-Brazilian national (rarely referred to in the press as immigrant) and Hitler fanboy Marcus Arduini Monzo in April 2024. It is hard not to conclude that white supremacy is being given a pass by the media and various state institutions.(4)
For example, Dame Rachel de Souza, the children’s commissioner for England concluded that “hatred of police not racism motivated children in English riots.” A finding that left some commentators “bewildered”(5)
“I am bewildered by the children’s commissioner’s conclusion, after her team interviewed 14 minors who took part in last August’s riots, that they were not motivated by the “prevailing narrative” of racism, but by anti-police feelings. Is it really a matter of dismantling prevailing narratives when 286 of the 1,804 people arrested in relation to the riots were minors? Is this meant to delude us into thinking that younger generations are growing up free from racial prejudice, unscathed by the Trump era of online misinformation?” (6)
For further evidence we can look at the previous Conservative goverment’s Prevent Duty strategy that many Muslims feared was simply a device to taget and persecute them under the guise of anti-terrorism. (7) Yet in recent years far-right referrals have outstripped Islamist ones. In fact, almost half (45%) the cases taken up by Prevent following a referral are for far-right concerns, double the amount of Islamist ones (23%) and these may include merely expressing pro-Palestine sentiments. In addition, “those aged between 11 to 15 accounted for the largest proportion of referrals.” (8)
This matters because many of our children will find themselves these environments around children who are being raised with a white supremacist ideology and seeing these values confirmed by leading politicians, glossed over by the media rationalised by state institutions.
Many have accused Farage of being a “Trump tribute act” and their policies of mass deportation of immigrants compliment each other. (9) Yet, Trump has upped the ante indicating that “homegrowns are next” as he floats ideas to deport and jail U.S. citizens abroad. One wonders whether a Farage government flollow suit and revive for example, the 2010 British National Party policy of offering “non-white British people £50,000 to leave “overcrowded” Britain and return to the land of their ancestors.” The minimal pushback that Farage receives in the media means he may well be encouraged to float such an idea before long. (10)
The question for us is how do we respond? Would a Reform government present an extra clear and present danger for the Afrikan community or would it largely be business as usual from an Afriphobic state?

we ask the question:
Are OUR children safe in the UK?
1) What should we be telling our children about the current state of Britain?
2) How well are we monitoring their school environment?
3) Would a Reform UK administration concern you?
4) Would you take government money to repatriate?
